Is a price cut in store for the iphone with the intro of the next generation model? They did it with the ipod; cut the price nearly in half after releasing a few generations and working out the kinks. Before you know it, everyone and their grandmother will own an iphone.

There's some speculation the new iPhone will hit sometime in late June. I'm looking forward to one as well.

The hope is that they'll be carrier independent and at&t will cut the price down to $200 for an 8gb model with a 2 year contract. Mo money for Apple.
